Newly engaged 22 year old singer, actress and entrepreneur Hilary Duff is about to add something new to her long list of accomplishments! It was announced today by publishing company Simon & Schuster that Hilary has signed a multi-book deal with them and will be the author of some upcoming young adult novels!

The first one, called Elixir due out this October, will chronicle the life of young photojournalist Clea Raymond. Hilary is also planning on publishing a non-fiction book about children coping with divorce, inspired by the messy divorce her own parents went through a few years ago, scheduled to be released in 2012.
